Excel model for comparing TOU vs standard rates - who has a good template?

I need to analyze about 20 accounts for potential TOU savings with Oncor Texas. Looking for a solid Excel template that can handle multiple rate schedules with different time periods. Anyone have something they're willing to share? The Oncor TOU-GSD schedule has 4 different time periods plus seasonal variations. - Marcus T.
Marcus, I built one for CPS Energy San Antonio that might work. It has separate tabs for summer/winter seasons and handles up to 6 time periods. The key is getting your interval data properly formatted first. Can you handle 15-minute interval data or do you only have monthly totals? - Jorge M.
I have 15-minute data from the smart meters. CPS Energy template would be perfect if you don't mind sharing it. I can modify it for Oncor's rate structure. The time periods are similar - on-peak, off-peak, shoulder, and critical peak. - Marcus T.
Guys, I've got a comprehensive TOU analysis spreadsheet that I've refined over about 8 years. It handles most major rate structures including Oncor, CenterPoint, AEP Texas, and several others. Has built-in logic for seasonal changes, holiday handling, and can compare up to 4 different rate options simultaneously. It includes sensitivity analysis for load shifting scenarios too. Send me a PM with your email and I'll share it. The model automatically calculates savings potential and payback periods for any load management investments. - Randy Dawson
Randy, that sounds exactly like what I need for some AEP accounts in Corpus Christi. Can I get a copy too? I've been doing these calculations manually and it's killing me. - Vivian C.
Count me in for that spreadsheet Randy. Working on some TVA large general service accounts that have TOU options. The manual calculations are brutal when you're trying to model different scenarios. - Bobby R.
This thread is gold. I've been struggling with Tucson Electric Power's TOU rates for months. Their Schedule GS-TOU has some weird weekend provisions that don't follow normal patterns. Randy, sending you a PM now. - Patricia W.
Late to the party but would love that template too Randy. LG&E Kentucky has been pushing TOU rates hard and I need better tools to evaluate them properly. The utility's own calculator seems to be overly optimistic. - Diane
