Ramona L. in Oklahoma City. Just discovered that OG&E's tariffs include a franchise fee that's not clearly labeled in their rate schedules. Found it buried on page 47 of their tariff book as "Municipal Gross Receipts Tax Adjustment." Adds about 3.2% to total bill. Anyone else seeing these hidden fees in utility tariffs? This changes my whole cost analysis.

Hidden Franchise Fees in Oklahoma Tariffs
Ed T. in Tulsa here. Yeah, PSO does the same thing. They call it "Municipal Tax Factor" and it varies by city. Tulsa is 3.8%, Broken Arrow is 2.5%. It's not technically a utility charge - it's passed through to the city. But you're right, it should be more prominent in the rate calculations. Always buried in the fine print.
