Alabama Power 2025-2026 increases and industrial rate impacts

Working on several industrial accounts in Mobile and Birmingham. Alabama Power filed for a 9.2% increase effective January 2026, but I'm hearing the industrial rates (Schedule TOU-LGN) might see bigger impacts due to transmission cost allocations. Anyone have details on the industrial impact?
Kevin - good to see another Alabama auditor! I've been following the AL Power case closely. You're right that industrial customers are getting hit harder. The transmission charges are going up about 15% and industrial customers pay a higher allocation. A paper mill I audit is looking at about $45,000/month increase on their $380,000 monthly bills.
Zach, that's exactly what I was afraid of. The client I'm most worried about is a steel fabrication plant with 8MW peak demand. They're already struggling with competition from overseas manufacturers. An extra $50k+ per month might push them over the edge to close the facility.
