Getting subcontract work from larger engineering firm in San Diego. SDG&E accounts mostly. Do I need separate E&O or am I covered under their policy?

E&O for subcontractor work
Never assume you're covered under someone else's policy. Get it in writing or maintain your own coverage. Their policy might have exclusions for subcontractor work.
I always maintain my own E&O even when working as a sub. It's an additional layer of protection and gives clients confidence that I'm properly insured.
