Strange issue with Eversource smart meter in Concord NH. Client's facility was completely shut down for maintenance but AMI meter recorded 50 kWh usage during the outage. Old mechanical meter would have stopped completely. Anyone seen phantom usage readings during outages?

Eversource AMI meters recording usage during power outages
That sounds like meter internal power consumption or possibly backfeed from UPS systems. Smart meters need small amount of power for electronics even when facility is off. 50 kWh seems high though.
