Just started working Topeka area with Evergy Kansas. Coming from a state where I had established utility relationships. Any advice on making initial contacts and building credibility with Evergy commercial services? What's their culture like?

Evergy Kansas - establishing new relationships
Evergy formed from the KCP&L merger a few years back. Still some integration happening but their commercial team is solid. Start with their business solutions group - they understand third-party partnerships well.
Working Evansville area which has some Evergy territory spillover. They're straightforward midwestern utility - no nonsense but fair. Make sure your customer authorizations are complete before first contact.
Different utility but similar situation when I started in Idaho. Bring copies of successful case studies from your previous territory. Shows you know what you're doing even if you're new to their system.
Great advice. Prepared a portfolio of past successful audits and billing corrections. Meeting with their Topeka commercial manager next week. Fingers crossed for a good start.
Evergy has been professional to work with in my experience. Midwestern utilities generally appreciate thorough preparation and straightforward communication. Let your work quality speak for itself.
