Question for the established folks - what insurance coverage do you carry? Looking at E&O policies but they're expensive. Is general liability enough when starting out?

Insurance and liability considerations as you grow
E&O is essential once you're doing significant business. Had a client claim I missed a $15K finding. Even though I was right, legal costs were $8K. Insurance covered it.
Started with $1M general liability through State Farm. Added E&O when I hit 20 clients. Shop around - rates vary wildly between carriers.
Don't forget cyber liability if you're storing client data electronically. Had a laptop stolen with 40 clients' utility data. That was a fun phone call.
Check if your state requires bonding for utility auditing services. South Carolina doesn't but some states do. Better to know upfront.
