Six months into my practice here in Evansville. So far I've audited everything from restaurants to manufacturing plants. Wondering if I should specialize in specific industries like healthcare or retail to build deeper expertise. Thoughts?

Should I specialize in specific industries?
I've been focusing on manufacturing in Kansas since starting last year. Evergy territory has great opportunities with power factor corrections and demand response programs. Having industry-specific case studies definitely helps with credibility during sales calls.
Started out generalist but now I'm about 70% retail clients in Riverside. Shopping centers, restaurants, big box stores. Each industry has common billing errors - retail gets hit hard with incorrect demand charges. Specializing makes you more efficient at finding issues.
