Working on a one-page case study template for prospect meetings. What format gets the best response? Thinking: Problem/Solution/Results with specific dollar amounts and timeline. Should I include the client name or keep it anonymous?
Case study format that closes deals
Always anonymous unless you have written permission. I use "Large Office Building - Orlando" or "Manufacturing Plant - Central Florida". Include the utility company name though - that adds credibility. Focus on the specific finding and how you discovered it.
My most effective case studies follow this format: Industry/Size/Utility, Monthly Bill Amount, Specific Error Found, How Long Error Existed, Total Recovery, Time to Complete. One paragraph each. Prospects can quickly see if it's similar to their situation.
Include a photo of the actual bill with the error highlighted (client info blacked out). Visual proof is powerful. I also add a small timeline graphic showing discovery->filing->refund. Makes the process feel concrete and achievable.
