Bakersfield Chamber wants $350/year membership. They have weekly breakfast meetings and monthly "Business After Hours" events. Anyone had luck networking through chambers for utility audit clients?
Local chamber of commerce worth the dues?
I joined Corpus Christi Chamber 8 months ago. Haven't gotten a single client from it directly, but the credibility helps. When I mention I'm a chamber member in my email signature, response rates seem higher.
Best $400 I spend each year here in Sioux Falls. Not so much for direct leads, but you learn which businesses are expanding, who's having cash flow issues, etc. Intelligence gathering. Plus the breakfast speakers sometimes cover energy topics.
