Columbia area broker wants to partner on Ameren Missouri accounts. They handle supply procurement, I do bill auditing and efficiency recommendations. 50/50 split on all revenue. They claim their average savings is 12% on generation charges. Worth exploring?

Ameren Missouri broker referral program
Arkansas is still regulated so I don't have experience with this arrangement. But 50/50 seems fair if they're bringing substantial value. Make sure you retain independence on audit findings.
I work with Independence Power & Light customers mostly, but know the Missouri market. 12% savings sounds optimistic unless they're cherry-picking easy wins. Get their methodology in writing.
Indiana has some third-party options too. The key is making sure your audit work stays objective. Don't let broker relationships influence your technical findings.
Update from Missouri - that 12% claim was based on comparing to old tariff rates, not current Ameren pricing. Actual savings were maybe 3-4%. I'd be cautious about their marketing claims.
