Client opened restaurant in Sioux Falls in January. Only have 4 months of Xcel data so far. How do you benchmark usage for new businesses? Previous tenant was a print shop - completely different load profile.

Xcel Energy baseline period for new restaurant - what to use?
For new restaurants, I use CBECS data as rough guide. Quick service averages 56 kWh per square foot annually. Full service around 38 kWh/sq ft. But really need 12+ months to establish meaningful baseline.
Thanks Ken. That's helpful for sanity checking. Guess I'll wait for more history before doing serious usage analysis.
