Jackson client getting estimated bills from Mississippi Power for 6 months. Their AMI meter supposedly wasn't transmitting interval data Jan-June 2015. Client paid $85,000 in estimated demand charges. Anyone dealt with similar MP issues?
Mississippi Power interval data missing 6 months of readings
Mississippi Power had major AMI system problems in 2014-2015. Lot of meters went offline after storms. They should be able to retrieve stored data from the meter memory even if transmission failed. Demand a meter download.
Update: MP finally downloaded the meter data. Client was overcharged $12,400 during the estimated period. Getting refund check next month. Always push for actual meter data downloads when dealing with "failed" AMI systems.
