Client has 8 manufacturing facilities across Mississippi served by Entergy. All are on LGS-TOU rate schedule. Found that 3 locations are consistently using more power during off-peak hours but paying on-peak rates due to meter programming errors. Entergy says the meters are programmed correctly. Entergy can be stubborn on TOU disputes. Get the actual interval data from the meters and compare it to their time-of-use periods. If the meter clock is off by even a few minutes, it can cause significant billing errors. File a formal complaint with the Mississippi PSC if needed.
Thanks. Got the interval data and found 2 meters were running 8 minutes fast, causing peak period billing during off-peak hours. Entergy corrected the meters and credited back 14 months. Saved about $28,000 across the 3 locations.
