Eversource NH/MA cross-border portfolio issues

Client has 6 locations in New Hampshire and 4 in Massachusetts, all served by Eversource. The rate structures are completely different between the two states. NH locations are paying much higher distribution charges. Is there any way to get consistent treatment across state lines?
Different state regulatory commissions mean different rate structures. Eversource NH and Eversource MA are essentially separate utilities. You can't get cross-state rate coordination, but you can optimize within each state separately.
I've worked with Eversource in both states. The MA locations might qualify for economic development rates depending on the business type. NH has some industrial incentives too. Focus on state-specific programs rather than trying to coordinate across states.
Eversource NH just revised their commercial rate schedules in 2021. Make sure you're working with the current tariffs. The new Rate G-3 might work better for mid-size commercial accounts.
