Small restaurant in Charlotte getting late payment charges from Duke Energy even though they pay by due date. Owner says payments are always submitted 2-3 days early. Anyone seen this issue?

Check the payment method. If paying by phone or online, Duke posts payment same day. If paying by mail, allow 5-7 business days for processing.
Client was mailing payments just 2 days before due date. Mail processing was taking 4-5 days. Switched to online payment and problem resolved.
