Formatting tables in audit reports

Quick question on report formatting. When showing monthly usage and demand data, do you prefer landscape tables or break it into multiple portrait pages? Working on an Entergy Mississippi industrial client with complex rate analysis.
I go landscape for data tables. Readers need to see trends across months. Portrait tables with line breaks kill the visual flow. Plus landscape fits better in binders most facilities managers use.
Depends on the data complexity. Simple usage/demand I do landscape. But if you're showing multiple rate components I'll break into sections with portrait orientation. Readability trumps consistency.
