PowerPoint vs. written reports - what do clients prefer?

Working with a Jacksonville hotel chain (JEA territory). They want presentation format for findings meeting but also formal written report for implementation. Anyone else doing dual format deliverables? Seems like double work but they're paying well.
I do this regularly. PowerPoint for the meeting hits the highlights with charts and graphs. Written report has all the technical backup. Actually helps because the presentation forces you to distill key points.
Same here in Charleston. I use the PowerPoint as an executive summary and the written report for implementation details. Facilities managers want the technical stuff, executives want the visuals.
Be careful with dual deliverables - make sure both documents say the same thing! Had a client catch an inconsistency between my presentation and written report. Embarrassing.
I actually start with the PowerPoint now and build the written report from that. Keeps everything aligned and the presentation deck becomes the outline for the formal document.
Good thread. I'm going to try the PowerPoint-first approach. Makes sense to clarify the key messages before getting into detailed documentation.
