Got a client with 18 locations across Kansas on Westar Energy. All different rate schedules, some with demand, some without. How do you guys tackle multi-site audits without going crazy? Spreadsheet is getting unwieldy.
How do you handle multi-site audits efficiently?
I use a master spreadsheet with tabs for each location. Common issues get flagged across all sites. Alabama Power has consistent billing errors that show up everywhere once you know what to look for.
Create site profiles first. Group similar locations together - all retail, all manufacturing, etc. PG&E in California has different quirks for different business types. Batch processing saves time.
I bill multi-site jobs differently. Flat fee per location after the first 3. Sets expectations and prevents scope creep. Did a 22-location audit last year and found issues at 19 of them.
