Raleigh client has been paying Progress Energy storm recovery surcharge since Hurricane Irene in 2011. It's now 2014 and still showing $89/month. NC statute says these should sunset after 3 years. Anyone know the current status?

Progress Energy storm recovery surcharge - how long?
Duke bought Progress so it's all Duke now. I'd check with NCUC on Case E-2, Sub 1023. Storm recovery charges do have statutory limits in NC.
Same issue with Dominion Virginia after Hurricane Isabel. The utilities keep extending these "temporary" charges. File a complaint with the commission.
Update - NCUC ruled the surcharge should have ended December 2013. Filing for refund of 14 months of overcharges. About $1,200 recovery.
