Client in Bakersfield getting hit with $2,000/month PF penalties on PG&E Schedule E-20. Looking at capacitor banks but wondering about PG&E rebates. Anyone know if they still have the power factor correction equipment rebate program?

PG&E power factor correction equipment rebate
Last I checked PG&E discontinued that rebate in 2011. But the payback on capacitors is usually 12-18 months anyway. Get quotes from at least 3 contractors - prices vary wildly.
Thanks Jim. Got quote for $15K installation. With $24K annual penalty savings, ROI is decent even without rebate. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't leaving money on the table.
