Evergy Kansas issue in Topeka. Large commercial client on TOU rate. Summer peak window ended September 30th, winter rates should have started October 1st. But October bill still shows summer peak pricing (1pm-7pm) instead of winter (6am-10am and 5pm-9pm). Anyone familiar with Evergy's seasonal transitions?
Evergy Kansas TOU seasonal transition error
John - Evergy Kansas does switch TOU windows on October 1st. Summer is 1-7pm, winter has the split window you mentioned. Billing system might have missed the seasonal transition. File a correction request with them.
Bonnie you were right. Evergy acknowledged their billing system didn't make the seasonal TOU transition for some accounts. They're correcting October and November bills and updating their systems.
John how long did it take Evergy to process the correction? I might have a similar issue with an Evergy Missouri account.
Pat - in my experience with Virginia utilities, seasonal TOU transitions are common failure points. Worth checking every October and April when most utilities make their seasonal rate changes.
