NV Energy in Reno. Client on Schedule LGS (TOU). They were charged peak rates on New Year's Day 2023, but the tariff lists it as a recognized holiday with off-peak pricing. Small dollar amount but want to make sure I'm reading the holiday schedule correctly.

Franklin - NV Energy does recognize New Year's Day as an off-peak holiday. Check if it fell on a weekend that year and if their tariff has specific language about observed vs. actual holiday dates.
Gail, New Year's Day 2023 was a Sunday. Found the issue - NV Energy's tariff says holidays observed on weekends still get off-peak treatment, but their billing system charged weekend peak rates instead. Filing a correction request.
Update: NV Energy issued a $340 credit for the holiday billing error and confirmed they've updated their system to handle weekend holidays correctly going forward.
