Maine nonprofit exemption - CMP charging tax on community center

Community center in Augusta has 501(c)(3) status but CMP is charging 5.5% sales tax. Filed Form ST-103ME but CMP says community centers don't qualify for exemption. Center provides after-school programs and senior services. Anyone fought this in Maine?
Had similar issue in Anchorage with different utility. Key is showing the charitable purpose. After-school and senior programs definitely qualify as charitable activities under Maine law.
Good point. I'll compile documentation of their charitable activities and resubmit. Maine statute 36 M.R.S. 1760(88) should cover this.
Success! Provided program descriptions and IRS determination letter. CMP approved the exemption and processed $4,200 refund for 18 months.
