Dead thread — quick tax question
The client has to sign the exemption certificate since they're the taxpayer making the claim. But you can prepare the form, gather the supporting documentation, and walk the client through the signature. Once signed, either of you can submit it to the utility. I prepare everything and just need the client's signature.
