Submitted an LOA to Entergy Mississippi for a poultry processing plant in Jackson over a month ago. Called twice to follow up and both times was told it's still being processed. The client is getting frustrated and starting to question whether this audit is worth the hassle. Any tricks for getting Entergy to move faster?
Entergy Mississippi takes forever — any tips to speed them up?
Entergy is slow across all their operating companies — Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas. I deal with Entergy in Memphis area accounts and 4-6 weeks is pretty standard. Two things that help: submit the LOA by fax with a cover sheet marked "ATTN: Commercial Billing — Third Party Authorization" so it goes directly to the right department. And after two weeks, call and ask for a reference or ticket number. Once you have a tracking number the follow-up calls go faster because they can pull up the status immediately.
Got the tracking number trick to work. Called back, referenced the ticket number, and the rep was able to tell me it was sitting in a review queue. She escalated it and I had data within a week. Total time from LOA submission to data in hand was 6 weeks. Not great but at least the data came through. The processing plant had a demand ratchet issue worth about $7,200/month so the wait was worth it.
